SONDEE
Sondee (sonder) is the quiet awareness that every person you see carries an entire world within them. Every stranger passing by, every face in a crowd, every person sitting silently on a train has their own memories, fears, hopes, habits, relationships, regrets, and dreams. Their life does not begin when they enter your view, and it does not pause when they leave it. They are not background characters in your story, but the center of their own — living through moments you will never witness, feeling emotions you will never fully understand, and carrying experiences that remain invisible from the outside.
It is the realization that behind every brief glance, every small interaction, and every unfamiliar face, there is a story as deep and meaningful as your own. A person may seem like a passing detail in your day, yet they are moving through a life filled with private struggles, quiet victories, unfinished thoughts, loved ones, memories, ambitions, and pain. Sonder reminds us that every human being contains a hidden complexity, and that even the most ordinary encounter is only a tiny fragment of someone’s much larger, unseen existence.
